Carpet Repair & Restretching

Is your carpet a little wavey? Do you occasionally trip over one of those waves? Have you ever wondered why?

Well, unfortunately, there is not a good explanation for this phenomenon. Some carpets stretch continuously while others never stretch at all.. If you have a carpet that likes to stretch, it should be repaired. If left alone it will continue to get lumpy and wavey which not only looks bad but causes the carpet to wear much quicker.

Over time, you may see your carpet begin to form lumps, waves or ripples. This often happens to new carpet poorly installed. We also find that older carpets, for various reasons, can also exhibit this condition. Not only is this rippling unattractive but it can be a tripping hazard. If this condition exists in your carpet, we recommend "power stretching".

"Power Stretching" involves pulling your carpet loose along the edges and using a specialized piece of equipment to re-stretch it back to the proper position. This maintenance can greatly improve the look of your carpet and extend the life. A carpet that is properly stretched also allows for more effective carpet cleaning.
